Jaana Puukka co-authored and edited for the OECD a flagship publication “Higher Education in Regions – Globally Competitive, Locally Engaged” (2007) and 20 city-/region-specific review reports (2010-2013) that analyse higher education institutions’ role in socio-economic development. These reports investigate how universities contribute to skills and entrepreneurship; research, development & innovation; social, cultural and environmental development, and capacity building in their cities and regions.
